With a sprawling industrial-inspired addition, Kartwheel turned this Texas home into a ranch-style refuge for the whole family.

Located in Tyler, Texas, Rancho Daleo was once a private weekend escape for its owners. But as the couple was nearing retirement, they hired Kartwheel to turn their getaway into a full-time residence, complete with space to host their children and grandchildren.

With their previous space repurposed to house full-time help, Kartwheel added entirely new living quarters, complete with a full industrial kitchen. The new addition also includes a luxurious primary bedroom with his and hers showers and closets, an office space, nesting patios with outdoor showers, and bunk quarters for the grandkids. With exposed framing and ample natural light, we designed a space that would appeal to the owners’ love of industrial design while integrating the home with the surrounding natural landscape.

Life on the ranch gets an industrial update that seamlessly blends home, nature, and family.
